My child still wets his bed

One in 5 children when they start school and 1-2% when they leave school still wet their beds. If either or both the parents had similar problem, this would increase the risk. Even though medications are available, bladder training should be the long term goal. To achieve this children should be encouraged to drink plenty and avoid constipation. They should be rewarded for positive behaviour towards bladder training rather then being punished for bed wetting.

Seek advice, in case of:

  1. Day time symptoms ( going frequently, not able to withhold)

  2. Poor stream of urine

  3. Leak when they giggle, laugh or sneeze

  4. Constipated
